A Brookwood woman was killed Feb. 17 in a two-vehicle crash in Tuscaloosa County, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

Haley G. Lancaster, 43, was fatally injured when the 2013 Hyundai Sonata that she was driving collided head-on with a 2023 Ford Expedition, ALEA said. Troopers identified the Ford Expedition’s driver as 45-year-old Elizabeth L. Broemlage of Northport.

Lancaster was not using a seat belt, troopers said, and she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Broemlage was injured and taken to DCH Regional Medical Center. A passenger of the Expedition, a 12-year-old from Northport, was also injured and taken to the hospital.

The crash occurred at around 8:05 p.m. on Alabama Highway 69 near the 155-mile marker, about seven miles north of Tuscaloosa.

ALEA did not provide further information. Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division are investigating the crash.
