A boy was killed Thursday night after a house erupted in flames in Limestone County, authorities said Friday.

The child, only identified as a juvenile male, was found in the burning home around 9 p.m. Thursday off Highway 72 in the Clements community, the Alabama fire marshal’s office told WAAY.

The fire was caused by an electrical issue in the home, the office said.

Two adults and multiple children were outside the home as Clements volunteer firefighters arrived on the scene of the blaze.
