Alabama freshman DB reminds fans it’s 20 days until football

Twenty days separate us from Alabama’s season opener against Middle Tennessee State on Saturday, Sept. 2.

Alabama starts week two of fall camp Monday, but we highlight a young defensive back in this countdown. 

Earl Little II, a redshirt freshman, hails from South Florida.

He came to the Crimson Tide in its 2022 class as a marquee four-star prospect. The 6-foot-1, 186-pounder played at American Heritage High School and coached by Patrick Surtain. Little’s father, Earl Little Sr., played in the National Football League.

Little has the potential to become a star in Alabama’s secondary.

He played in three games last year after working back from an injury, helping the Tide earn a 45-20 victory over Kansas State in the Allstate Sugar Bowl. Little has worked at ‘Star’ in spring practice and fall camp, but Nick Saban is trying to get the best combination of defensive backs on the field. He wears No. 20 and represents where we are in relation to our favorite time of year.

Fans are looking forward to watching Little produce in the fall.
