Vermont basketball aims for a bounce-back performance when the Catamounts take on Merrimack for the teams’ third matchup in as many seasons.

The Catamounts (1-1) were dominated by No. 11 Auburn in a 94-53 decision on Wednesday night, the Catamounts’ first ranked opponent in the regular season since 2021. Against Merrimack, Vermont cruised to double-digit victories in 2022 and 2023.

Following the Merrimack game, Vermont wraps its nonconference road swing to start the season with a date at Iona on Nov. 15. The Catamounts then host Buffalo in their home opener on Nov. 19.
