BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Vermont Fish and Wildlife leaders are looking to reel in comments about accessibility at the state’s fishing access areas.

Officials say over the past two decades, the department has upgraded many features like parking areas, docks and fishing platforms to meet ADA standards but that there is still more work to be done.

Only about 44 of the 200 fishing access areas are ADA-compliant facilities. The goal is to get to 100 by 2028.
