Vermont State Police responds to attempted burglary in Pownal

POWNAL — The Vermont State Police- Shaftsbury Barracks received a call in the early morning hours on New Year’s Day about a male who was attempting to break in to a trailer in Pownal.

Per a VSP release, investigation revealed that at about 1:45 a.m. Monday morning, Robert Hull, 31, of Bennington, allegedly broke the window and then attempted to kick the door down.

Hull was subsequently arrested without incident and transported to the Shaftsbury Barracks for processing. Hull was later released on conditions to appear in the Bennington County Superior Court- Criminal Division on Jan. 2 at 12:30 p.m., to answer to charges of attempted burglary, unlawful mischief and disorderly conduct.
