Vermont man who fired gun while on NY Thruway faces drug and weapon charges
Warners, N.Y. — A Vermont man who fired a gun early Thursday morning from inside his vehicle on the New York Thruway also had “magic mushrooms” and cocaine in his truck, according to New York State troopers.
Christopher Flynn, 28, of Bridgewater, Vermont, admitted to authorities he fired a gun from inside his truck because he thought someone was following him, troopers said.
Around 12:10 a.m., an unoccupied 2020 Toyota Tacoma truck with Vermont plates was found parked on the eastbound side of the Thruway, also called Interstate 90, troopers said. Bullet holes could be seen, along with a pistol and a revolver on the front passenger seat of the vehicle.
