WHITINGHAM, Vt. — A Vermont man was arrested by state police on Saturday accused of murdering a mother and son in Whitingham, Vt., that he was living with.
According to police, Christopher Ellis, 54, allegedly shot Michael Garvin, 52, and his mother, Lucy Garvin, 79, earlier in the week and stole Michael Garvin’s 2001 Dodge Ram pickup truck.
