A homeless shelter resident in Vermont attacked and killed a workers member on the shelter with an axe, based on police.
Zaaina Asra Zakirrah Mahvish-Jammeh, 38, attacked Leah Rosin-Pritchard, 36, Monday morning at a homeless shelter within the southern Vermont metropolis of Brattleboro, based on an affidavit from the Brattleboro Police Division obtained by CNN affiliate WCAX. Brattleboro is about 125 miles south of Montpelier.
The shelter, the Morningside Home, is owned by Groundworks Collaborative, a corporation that works at “creating options to finish starvation and homelessness,” based on the group’s web site.
Groundworks’ workers advised police Mahvish-Jammeh was a resident of the constructing and she or he requested to talk to Rosin-Pritchard, a employee on the facility, Monday morning, the affidavit says. Mahvish-Jammeh then attacked the employee with an axe she purchased from a neighborhood ironmongery shop two days prior, authorities say within the affidavit.
