Student Charged With Terrorism After Threat Closes School

ORLEANS, Vt. (AP) — A juvenile is dealing with a cost of home terrorism after a menace led to the closure of a highschool Friday in northeastern Vermont.

Lessons at Lake Area Union Excessive Faculty had been canceled after authorities realized of the menace made by way of social media towards the varsity and college students.

Orleans County Sheriff Jennifer Harlow says the investigation into the menace was initiated Thursday night by the varsity useful resource officer, a sheriff’s deputy. The investigation included faculty officers and extra regulation enforcement businesses.

“The Orleans County Sheriff’s Division and college officers take all experiences of faculty threats severely,” Harlow mentioned.
