Police investigating fatal Vermont house fire
DANBY, Vt. (WCAX) – Police say one person was found dead after a house fire in Danby.
Fire crews were called to the blaze at 3111 Old Otis Road just before 7:30 a.m. Friday.
Firefighters found a body inside the home and called in the Vermont State Police to assist.
Troopers say their investigation into the fire and the person’s death is still underway, but so far nothing indicates the incident is suspicious.
The victim’s body was sent to the medical examiner’s office in Burlington to determine the cause and manner of death.
