Grants open for watershed protection projects

BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Cash to maintain Vermont’s waterways clear and wholesome is now accessible.

The 2023 Vermont Watershed Grants Program is now accepting purposes for initiatives that shield, restore and improve the state’s lakes, streams, rivers and ponds.

Along with retaining water clear, state leaders need to fund initiatives that purpose to guard of restoring fish and aquatic wildlife habitats.

Some $70,000 in grants can be found with $10,000 being the most important single grant provided.

Purposes are due Feb. 8. You may apply on the Vermont Fish and Wildlife web site.
