Child killed, 4 people injured in Vermont fire
MANCHESTER, Vt. (WCAX) – Tragic news out of Manchester following a fire that left a 3-year-old dead.
Police say multiple departments fought the blaze at a building on Upper Road on Sunday just before noon.
In addition to the child’s death, four other people were injured. Two people were airlifted to the hospital, the other two were taken by ambulance.
A Manchester Selectboard member called the fire “emotionally devastating” in a social media post on a community forum.
An investigation into what caused the fire is underway.
