BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Money doesn’t grow on trees but it could be helping trees grow in Vermont thanks to USDA Forest Service funding

Audubon Vermont is one of three organizations splitting over $1.1 million in forest restoration project funding targeting non-federal forest lands in Vermont.

Audubon Vermont will focus on biodiversity and adapting to climate change by using the funding for demonstration sites and outreach with landowners. Other groups to receive the funding are the National Association of Conservation Districts and the Forest Stewards Guild.
