Warwick Sex Offender Charged With Possessing And Delivering Child Porn
WARWICK, RI — A registered sex offender from Warwick was charged with possessing and delivering child pornography.
Richard Crothers, 29, was arrested Wednesday by the Rhode Island State Police Computer Crimes/Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
Crothers was charged with possessing child pornography and mailing, transporting, delivering or transferring child pornography.
Crothers, a resident of Circuit Drive, was released on 10% of $10,000 bond, court records show.
As a condition of his release, Crothers is not to use the internet, smartphones or computers, and is to have no contact with minors.
Crothers was previously convicted — once in 2015 and again in 2016 — of the indecent solicitation of a child, according to the Rhode Island Sex Offender Registry.
State police Maj. Kenneth M. Moriarity failed to respond to a request for further information on Crothers’ case.
