Maine’s training commissioner is collaborating in a first-of-its-kind summit amongst New England training leaders in Rhode Island, the Maine Division of Training introduced Monday.

Pender Makin will be a part of U.S. Training Secretary Miguel Cardona, training commissioners from the area and enterprise leaders for the summit in Newport.

It’s billed as a approach for the area to work collectively to “deepen collaboration as a area and between sectors to strengthen public training and the area’s workforce,” in response to a press launch.

The leaders are anticipated to signal a decision calling for New England Regional Collaboration.
