Rhode Island man arrested for burglary at Branford Dunkin’

BRANFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — A Rhode Island man was arrested following a housebreaking at a Dunkin’ in Branford on Friday, in accordance with police.

The Branford Police Division responded to the Dunkin’ on North Foremost Road round 1:35 a.m. and located a person, wearing all black clothes and a ski masks, fleeing the shop out the again door. Officers adopted the suspect on foot and apprehended him on Cedar Road.

The suspect, recognized as David Degrasse, 55, of Rhode Island, was arrested. Police stated an investigation discovered that Degrasse forcibly entered the shop and was trying to interrupt into the ATM machine inside by utilizing pry bars, a number of slicing blades, and a reciprocating noticed.

Degrasse was charged with housebreaking within the third diploma, possession of housebreaking instruments, felony mischief within the first diploma, felony mischief within the second diploma, and interfering with an officer. He was detained on bond and transported to the New Haven Superior Courtroom Friday morning for arraignment.
