Police Searching For Minivan From Hit-And-Run Crash That Injured 2 Coventry Firefighters
COVENTRY, RI — Coventry police have asked for the public’s help finding a car they said was involved in a hit-and-run crash late last month that injured two firefighters.
On May 29, Coventry police and fire were called to a home on Victory Highway for a medical emergency. As members of the Western Coventry Fire Department got out of their fire engine, a minivan struck the front passenger side door, injuring two firefighters.
Fire officials said one firefighter was rushed to Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, while the other was taken to Kent County Hospital in Warwick to get checked out.

Police said the driver who struck the fire engine did not stop and continued north on Victory Highway.
Police described the suspect’s vehicle as a 2019-to-2023 Chrysler minivan with front passenger side damage, specifically to at least the side view mirror.
