Former Vols’ quarterback records three touchdowns in Week 1 win

Former Tennessee quarterback Kasim Hill and Rhode Island defeated Stony Brook, 35-14, Thursday in Week 1.

Hill accomplished 17-of-32 passing makes an attempt for 236 yards and two touchdowns. He recorded one speeding landing within the season-opening contest.

The 6-foot-2, 234-pound Hill transferred to Tennessee from Maryland. He redshirted with the Vols in 2019.

Throughout his time at Tennessee, Hill was an integral member of the Vols’ scout group. He needed to sit out the 2019 season resulting from NCAA switch guidelines.

Hill began the primary 10 video games of the 2018 season for Maryland earlier than struggling an ACL harm in his left knee. He appeared in three video games, beginning two contests, in 2017 as a freshman. Hill’s freshman season ended resulting from a torn ACL in his proper knee.
