NEWPORT, R.I. (WLNE) — The annual “A Wish Come True” Polar Plunge in Newport will fund Disney trips for two Rhode Island children.

The traditional run into the ocean at Easton’s Beach was set for noon.

The “A Wish Come True” program raises money to benefit children facing life-threatening illnesses.

This year, the plunge will benefit 6-year-old Sofia from Warwick and 16-year-old Gracela from West Kingstown.
