Single run lifts Pittsburg over Joplin in border battle

PITTSBURG, Kan. — The Pittsburg Purple Dragons hosted the Joplin Eagles in a baseball border battle on Saturday morning.

After 4 scoreless innings, a single run gave Joplin the lead over Pittsburg. The Eagles then simply needed to full one out within the backside of the seventh to win the sport, however an error and subsequent run by Pittsburg tied issues up. The Purple Dragons went on to win, 2-1, in 9 innings.
