Richard A. Cain Sr., age 73, of Pittsburg, Illinois, handed away Tuesday, Could 31, 2022, on the V.A. Medical Middle in Marion, Illinois.
Richard was born September 25, 1948, in Carbondale, Illinois, a son of Harold and Zella (Borum) Cain. Richard grew up in Crab Orchard and graduated Crab Orchard Excessive College. He joined the US Air Drive then re-enlisted within the US Military, through the Vietnam Battle. He served 10 years within the army, discharged in 1976. He owned a money register retailer, gross sales and repair on the sq. in Marion, then labored as a coal miner, and later as salesman at Absher Motors. His final job was as a self employed handyman. Richard cherished to hunt and fish in his spare time. Richard was a member of Masonic Lodge, American Legion, and Life Member of VFW.
He’s survived by 4 kids, Richard (Melissa) Cain Jr. of Pittsburg, Harold (fianc, Sheila) Cain of Marion, Melinda (fianc, Fred) Cain of Marion, and Venus (Eddy) Hawn of Quad Cities, IA, 5 grandchildren, Mikayla Cain, Madison Cain, Austin Frey, Mataya Frey, and Grace Frey, vital different Lana Attain of Murphysboro, and three siblings, Ronald (Sharron) Cain of Eminence, MO, Nancy (Jimmy) Smiley of Marion, and Tom (Becky) Cain of Pittsburg. He’s preceded in loss of life by his dad and mom, Harold and Zella Cain and three siblings, Valley Jo Cain, Mardella Cain, and Donna Dunbar.
Visitation can be Friday, June 3, 2022, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Mitchell-Hughes funeral residence in Marion, Illinois. Masonic Rites can be carried out at 6:30 p.m. Friday by Makanda Masonic Lodge #464. Graveside companies can be held Saturday, June 4, 2022, 1:30 p.m. at Coal Financial institution Spring Cemetery. Burial will comply with at Coal Financial institution Springs Cemetery in Marion with full army honors.
