Remaining suspect in Pittsburg homicide arrested in Modesto
PITTSBURG, Calif. – A person suspected of a Pittsburg murder was tracked by detectives and arrested Wednesday in Modesto, police say.
Gregory Rossignon was an impressive suspect wished for gunning down a comfort retailer employee at his place of work, following a disagreement final month.
The sufferer, Abdul Raouf Shirzad, 44, was a married father of 5 and a former U.S. Military translator in Afghanistan.
Police mentioned Rossignon was hiding out in a Modesto House.
Pittsburg Police Division mentioned detectives realized on Tuesday that Rossignon fled to Modesto. Modesto police helped Pittsburg police with a search warrant that was served early Wednesday morning. Police mentioned the suspect refused to exit the condominium, however he finally surrendered peacefully after hours of negotiation.
Police mentioned Rossignon was introduced again to Pittsburg and will probably be booked into Contra Costa County Jail.
Two others had been beforehand taken into custody in connection to the March 22 taking pictures.
