Pittsburg wildfire still active; crews return as smoke fills air

Con Fireplace stated Friday the wildfire that has been burning in Pittsburg for the final three weeks remains to be energetic and is giving off a considerable amount of smoke.

Officers stated they’ve been monitoring the long-smoldering fireplace positioned within the marsh space waterfront, and this weekend it started kicking up new proof of burning.

KTVU obtained calls Saturday from involved residents who stated there was a ‘ton of smoke’ within the air, and that it regarded like the fireplace had reignited.

Con Fireplace stated the flames are in an inaccessible and uninhabited space.
