‘Hanks Giving’: Tom Hanks to take over Pittsburgh radio station on Thanksgiving Day
PITTSBURGH, Pa. – This Thanksgiving we now have just a little greater than turkey to be enthusiastic about as Nov. 24 will now be often called “Hanks Giving Day” in Pittsburgh.
Whereas many Pittsburghers are having fun with their feast, they may have the ability to hearken to hand-picked music by Hanks on 91.3-FM, WYEP.
WYEP known as Hanks an honorary Pittsburgher due to his portrayal of Fred Rogers within the 2019 film A Stunning Day within the Neighborhood and in addition taking pictures his forthcoming movie A Man Known as Otto in Pittsburg.
In line with the Pittsburgh Publish Gazette, “Hanks offered WYEP with an eclectic and really enjoyable listing of 100 songs for the station takeover, with a 66-year timespan — ranging between music from 1956 all the way in which to a duet launched just a few months in the past between Elvis Costello and Hanks’ spouse Rita Wilson.”
“Hanks Giving” will air on Thanksgiving Day 8 a.m.-7 p.m. Moreover, the 7-8 a.m. and 7-8 p.m. hours will characteristic music curated by WYEP on-air hosts taken from soundtracks of films that includes Hanks, in keeping with the Publish Gazette.
