Worker dies after falling from lift at Ocean City, New Jersey amusement park

OCEAN CITY, New Jersey (WPVI) — A employee was killed in a fall at an amusement park alongside the Ocean Metropolis, New Jersey boardwalk on Monday morning.

Robert Sanger, 62, fell from a raise at Gillian’s Wonderland Pier, metropolis officers say.

Sanger, a welder from Pittsgrove, was an worker of subcontractor Cargo Tech Worldwide.

He was engaged on the Ferris wheel on the time of the accident.

The president of Gillians Wonderland Pier, Jay Gillian, mentioned in an announcement “Our ideas and prayers exit to his household.”

He mentioned the amusement park is cooperating with authorities as they examine the accident.

The park was not open to the general public when the accident occurred.

Metropolis officers say the autumn stays underneath investigation by the Occupational Security and Well being Administration.
