USDA predicts consumers will spend up to 4% more for food by the end of the year

Prepare for even greater costs on the grocery retailer.

The USA Division of Agriculture launched its meals value outlook for 2022, which predicts the price of groceries will proceed to rise, and shoppers could possibly be spending as much as 4% extra for meals by the top of the 12 months.

The company says the price of many kitchen staples will rise.

Dairy costs are anticipated to extend as much as 5%, whereas poultry may value 7% extra. And, costs for cereals and baked items may go up about 4%.

Consuming out can also be anticipated to get dearer. The USDA predicts restaurant costs will improve wherever from 5.5 to six.5% this 12 months.
