Police search for convicted sex offender in New Jersey Pine Barrens

TABERNACLE, New Jersey (WPVI) — New Jersey State Park Police need hikers and campers to be looking out for a person wished by legislation enforcement.

He is a convicted intercourse offender who authorities say violated his parole, and he could also be tenting in New Jersey.

On Thursday, officers patrolled a distant space close to Wharton State Forest in Burlington County in quest of Theodore Blackson, 34, of Lawnside.

Additionally they put out an alert on Fb this week.

On-line data present Blackson was convicted of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old in 2010, and authorities say he not too long ago violated the phrases of his parole on April 4 by failing to report.

“It is form of scary. I often get notifications on my cellphone however I did not get that one,” mentioned Jill Watson of Chatsworth, N.J.

Police say Blackson frequents the Batona Path, a 53-mile mountain climbing path via the New Jersey pine barrens.

Authorities imagine he could possibly be tenting wherever from Carranza Highway in Tabernacle Township to the Bass River State Forest.

Blackson is 5’11”, weighs 210 kilos, and is thought to put on inexperienced camouflage jackets.
