Philadelphia union leaders gather over school district budget concerns

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — The proposed Faculty District of Philadelphia funds has academics, directors, and advocates involved.

They fear this may result in staffing shortages and have a destructive influence on college students’ schooling.

A rally came about outdoors college district headquarters Thursday round 4 p.m. The rally was organized by Teamsters Native 502 and different unions.

The group that gathered included elected officers, group teams, college students, and their households.

The main focus is on what they are saying is underfunding for the 2022-2023 Faculty District of Philadelphia funds.

The college district is including $170 million into its funds for subsequent 12 months for a complete of $3.9 billion.
