High school students hold protest over mural controversy in Delaware
SMYRNA, Delaware (WPVI) — Officers from Smyrna Excessive Faculty have reversed course after overlaying a mural created by college students to have a good time variety.
It comes after dozens of scholars held a sit-in Thursday in a present of frustration over that call.
The mural contains a quote from political activist Angela Davis.
The scholars selected and created the picture beneath the supervision of college members.
However on Wednesday evening, the college district realized one other group objected to the show due to Davis’ help of the Palestinian Authority.
In a letter launched Friday, the superintendent says the mural shall be on show when college students return from spring break, and there shall be discussions about including different figures to the mural.
