Former Delaware State Rep. Gerald Brady sentenced in shoplifting incidents

NEWARK, Delaware (WPVI) — Former Delaware State Consultant Gerald Brady was sentenced to probation after pleading responsible to shoplifting from a neighborhood grocery retailer.

Courtroom paperwork present Brady should additionally pay greater than $300 in fines and restitution.

Brady, a Wilmington Democrat who spent 16 years within the Basic Meeting was charged and surrendered to police in January.

He initially pleaded not responsible and resigned his legislative seat in February.

Brady, who’s government director of the Delaware AFL-CIO, confronted requires his resignation final summer season after he inadvertently despatched an e mail to an advocate for decriminalizing prostitution wherein Brady used a slur.
