Foo Fighters cancel all tour dates following death of drummer Taylor Hawkins
The rockers had been scheduled to play on the Grammy Awards in Las Vegas on Sunday in addition to spring dates on the Beale Avenue Music Pageant; the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Pageant; Columbia, Maryland; Raleigh, North Carolina; Daytona Seaside; Charlotte, North Carolina; the Boston Calling Music Pageant; and summer time dates in Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, France and the UK.
“It’s with nice unhappiness that Foo Fighters verify the cancellation of all upcoming tour dates in mild of the staggering lack of our brother,” the band mentioned in an announcement Tuesday.

Hawkins died Friday throughout a South American tour with the rock band. He was 50.
“We’re sorry for and share within the disappointment that we can’t be seeing each other as deliberate,” the band’s assertion learn. “As a substitute, let’s take this time to grieve, to heal, to tug our family members shut, and to understand all of the music and recollections we have made collectively.”
Hawkins was Alanis Morissette’s touring drummer when he joined Foo Fighters in 1997. He performed on the band’s greatest albums together with “One by One” and “In Your Honor,” and on hit singles like “Better of You.”
In lead singer David Grohl’s 2021 guide “The Storyteller,” he referred to as Hawkins his “brother from one other mom, my finest good friend, a person for whom I might take a bullet.”
