Driver killed after tire falls off pick-up truck on I-95, crashes into car: Police
PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — A driver has died after a tire fell off a pick-up truck on I-95, went airborne and smashed into his automobile in South Philadelphia.
The incident occurred round 12:30 a.m. Friday on the freeway between Entrance and Broad streets.
Police say the tire struck the median and hit the windshield of a automotive that was touring southbound, trapping the driving force inside.
The medics had been pressured to chop the roof off the automobile to free the sufferer.
A person in his 60s was transported to Jefferson College Hopsital the place he later died.
It’s unclear if the driving force of the pick-up, which saved on going, realized what occurred.
