American Airlines will use buses for short trips to Philadelphia International Airport

FORT WORTH, Texas — American Airways has employed a bus firm to hold passengers between Philadelphia and two airports which are solely a brief hop away by air.

The service will begin June 3 between Philadelphia Worldwide Airport and airports in Allentown, Pennsylvania, and Atlantic Metropolis, New Jersey, the airline stated Thursday with the bus firm referred to as Landline.

Landline and American pitched the bus service as a better strategy to get between the Philadelphia airport and Lehigh Worldwide Airport in Allentown 73 miles away, and Atlantic Metropolis Worldwide Airport, 56 miles away. Brian Znotins, American’s vp of community planning, stated it might assist prospects hook up with the airline’s worldwide flights from Philadelphia.

American’s regional affiliate, American Eagle, operates flights from Allentown to Chicago and Charlotte, North Carolina. The Fort Value, airline doesn’t serve Atlantic Metropolis.

Landline, primarily based in Fort Collins, Colorado, has related offers with United Airways in Denver and Solar Nation Airways in seven cities in Minnesota and Wisconsin. The corporate stated it raised $28 million to broaden its geographic attain.
