2 people rescued from house fire in Delaware County Saturday

UPLAND TOWNSHIP, Delaware County (WPVI) — An off-duty hearth marshal pulled a bedridden particular person from a burning dwelling in Delaware county.

A police officer rushed into the house and rescued a second particular person.

The fireplace occurred simply after 1:30 a.m. Saturday within the unit block of ninth Road in Upland Township.

When crews arrived on scene, smoke and flames might be seen coming from the basement.

Each folks pulled from the house had been hospitalized and handled for smoke inhalation.

Six adults and two kids escaped the fireplace with no accidents.

The reason for the fireplace is beneath investigation.
