1st look at Trevor Reed after he landed overnight in San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO, Texas — Trevor Reed is again in america at some point after the Marine veteran was swapped for a Russian drug trafficker in a prisoner change between Washington and Moscow, his mom tweeted early Thursday morning.

“It has been very thrilling day for The Reed household. Trevor is again within the USA,” Paula Reed stated on Twitter. Images tweeted from the account of Rep. August Pfluger, a Texas Republican, additionally confirmed him standing subsequent to Reed.

His vacation spot was not instantly clear. Reed’s mother and father stay in Granbury, Texas, close to Dallas.

Reed was swapped in Turkey on Wednesday for Konstantin Yaroshenko, who had been serving a 20-year jail sentence in a cocaine trafficking conspiracy case.

“I feel it’ll actually hit residence for him and for us after we lastly get to see him and contact him,” Reed’s father, Joey, stated in an interview with The Related Press on Wednesday.

He was later sentenced to 9 years in jail. The U.S. authorities described him as unjustly detained and pressed for his launch; his household asserted his innocence and expressed issues about his deteriorating well being – which included coughing up blood and a starvation strike.
