Pennsylvania’s top law enforcer is now looking into gift card purchases before the sudden closure of Iron Hill Brewery’s entire chain of locations.
PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Pennsylvania’s top law enforcer is now looking into gift card purchases before the sudden closure of Iron Hill Brewery’s entire chain of locations.
Attorney General Dave Sunday wants those with unused cards to dispute the purchases with their credit card company.
The Republican says you can also file a complaint with the state Bureau of Consumer Protection.
Iron Hill Brewery abruptly closed all 15 of its breweries and restaurants in September after the company announced to employees that it had filed for bankruptcy.
The company cited financial difficulties in a message to staff: “Due to ongoing financial challenges, the company has made the difficult decision to file for bankruptcy and regrettably will be permanently closing its doors.”
Iron Hill Brewery operated locations in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Georgia and South Carolina.
The company has not responded to Action News’ requests for comment.
