Rep. Amen Brown announces run for Philadelphia mayor

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — A ninth candidate has entered the race to succeed Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney.

Pennsylvania State Consultant Amen Brown introduced his candidacy for mayor in West Philadelphia on Friday.

Brown instructed supporters he is stepping up as a result of he is uninterested in lawlessness and inaction by lawmakers.

Brown is dealing with eight different candidates, together with 5 former metropolis council members.
