Pennsylvania pedestrian killed in Ocean City crash
A Pennsylvania girl was killed whereas making an attempt to cross Coastal Freeway in Ocean Metropolis on Friday evening.
Ocean Metropolis police stated Sophia Battisti, 21, of Reinholds, Pa., was crossing Coastal Freeway, towards the pedestrian sign, close to 59th Avenue at about 11:56 p.m. on Aug. 26.
She was struck by a automobile, and was pronounced lifeless on the scene. Close by witnesses and Ocean Metropolis medical crews tried to avoid wasting her, stated police, and the motive force remained on the scene.
Alcohol was not an element within the crash, stated police.
Coastal Freeway was closed for about 4 hours for the investigation.
