Pa. abortion providers see dramatic uptick in out-of-state patients after Dobbs ruling

In June, eight months after a near total abortion ban went into effect in her home state of Texas, a woman sought care at a central Pennsylvania abortion clinic.

The attending physician at the Planned Parenthood Keystone clinic determined the woman’s pregnancy was not viable and would likely end in miscarriage. The woman received the first round of abortion treatment and was told she would need additional care to ensure her health and safety.
