A young man killed himself inside a car parked in Midtown Manhattan Friday night, officials and sources said.
The unidentified man was found inside a beige Honda sedan near East 47th Street and Park Avenue just before 8:30 p.m., according to the NYPD and police sources.
He suffered an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The gun likely used in the suicide was found at the scene.
Police are withholding the man’s identity, but said he is in his 20s.
The sedan had Pennsylvania plates, sources said.
It was parked near 277 Park Ave., which houses some of JPMorgan Chase’s corporate offices, four blocks south of the NFL’s headquarters and less than half a mile from Grand Central Station.
