2 struck and killed by Amtrak train in Pennsylvania

An Amtrak prepare struck and killed two folks on the tracks in Chester, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, CBS Philadelphia reported.

The 2 victims had been trespassing on the tracks, Amtrak spokesperson Marc Magliari confirmed to CBS Information. Prepare 161 was headed from Washington, D.C., to New York, when it needed to be stopped at round 4:40 p.m. Jap time as a result of “trespassing incident,” the spokesperson stated.

It is unclear why the victims had been trespassing, and the world is fenced and has “no trespassing” signage, the spokesperson stated. The victims weren’t instantly recognized. 

“There have been no accidents on the prepare for purchasers or crew,” Magliari stated.

Philadelphia CBS reported the incident occurred on an Amtrak rail line on Engle Avenue, close to West Fourth Avenue, and the prepare is at present stopped close to Highland Avenue.
