NY first responders rescue driver from car that crashed into reservoir, video shows

New York State police have launched video displaying officers and firefighters rescue a driver trapped inside a sinking automobile that crashed right into a reservoir final week.

The rescue occurred on Could 9 in Le Ray, a city about 30 miles from the Canadian border.

Physique digicam video exhibits state troopers and members of the Evans Mills Hearth Division working to drag the lady from the partially submerged car because it begins to sink.

Assistant Hearth Chief John Russel had damaged the rear window of the car and climbed inside when it started to sink, WWNY-TV reported.

“Hey! Chief, get out, get out! Chief, get out!” somebody may be heard yelling.

Trooper Christopher Hardy may be seen climbing onto the roof of the sinking car as Russel exits the rear window earlier than it goes underwater.

The girl suffered minor accidents and was handled at a hospital.

Hardy and Russel break the glass of the car’s moon roof and drag the lady to security earlier than the SUV can sink any additional.

The driving force, a 61-year-old girl, was handled at Samaritan Medical Heart for hypothermia and minor lacerations, the outlet reported.

Police informed the station that the lady was intoxicated on the time of the crash. She has since been charged with DWI, dashing and aggravated unlicensed operation.
