NJ PBS ANNOUNCES TWO NEW TREASURES OF NEW JERSEY EPISODES AIRING IN MAY AND JUNE – Insider NJ
Could 18, 2022 – NEWARK, NJ – NJ PBS, New Jersey’s public tv community, introduced two new upcoming episodes of its documentary collection, Treasures of New Jersey, that includes the Peter Mott Home in Lawnside and the Nice Swamp Nationwide Wildlife Refuge in Morris County. The collection pays homage to a few of the Backyard State’s most iconic locations, from historic landmarks and cultural facilities to standard locations.
Treasures of New Jersey: The Peter Mott Home premieres Wednesday, Could 25 at 8:30 p.m. on NJ PBS (examine native listings). Watch a trailer right here. Narrating each episodes is former NJ Highlight Information correspondent, WNYC Morning Version host, and New Jersey native, Michael Hill.
Treasures of New Jersey: The Peter Mott Home spotlights the historic significance of this property in Camden County, whose mid-19th century freedom-fighter homeowners have been instrumental in serving to enslaved individuals who have been headed North to freedom within the days of the Underground Railroad. The Nice Swamp episode showcases the beloved wildlife refuge in suburban Morris County, established in 1960. Numerous species make their residence inside its greater than 7,000 acres, and lots of of volunteers are partnering with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to make it extra accessible for years to come back.
