New Jersey lottery player wins $1 million on a $20 scratch-off ticket. Here’s where

A trip to a convenience store turned into a $1 million payday for one lucky New Jersey Lottery player last week.

The New Jersey Lottery announced on Monday that the final top prize in the Power 20X scratch-off game was won on April 30 in Warren County.

The $20 scratch-off for the Power 20X game was purchased at Paul Mart on South Main Street in Phillipsburg, the New Jersey Lottery announced on Monday.

It was the third top prize won in the Power 20X since it started on Feb. 4. The other million-dollar tickets were sold at a Krauszer’s Food Store on Route 183 in Stanhope and M&S Grocery on W. End Court in Long Branch.

Power 20X offered prices from $30 to $10,000 with three worth $1 million.

Two other big scratch-off winners

Last week there were also two big winners in the $250,000 Crossword scratch-off game, the lottery agency announced.

The game, which costs $10 and was launched on March 29, saw two lottery players claim top prizes of $250,000.

On April 29, a winning ticket was bought at Webster Liquor & Deli on Webster Avenue in Jersey City. Then on May 1, another $250,000 ticket was purchased at the Stop & Shop on Perrineville Road in Monroe Township.

There are still two top prizes out there for the $250,000 Crossword game.
