Memorial Day service on the Battleship New Jersey honors the fallen (PHOTOS)

Navy heroes who gave the final word sacrifice had been honored throughout a Memorial Day service on the Battleship New Jersey Monday morning.

The Knights of Columbus led the ceremony, with John Brandon, of the Knights’ Fourth Diploma, Second New Jersey District, main the Pledge of Allegiance and Deacon Steve Scott giving the invocation. Talking had been Knights Walter Wych, the Knights’ vice supreme grasp, James Stoever, the Knights’ state deputy and Chris Tomasello.

Brandon, Stoever and Wych additionally solid a memorial wreath from the battleship onto the Delaware River, in remembrance of the women and men of the navy who gave their life in protection of our nation.
