Maryland Bound Plane Makes Emergency Landing In New Jersey

A Maryland-bound airplane made an emergency touchdown in New Jersey after the cockpit turned full of smoke, officers mentioned.

The single-engine Piper PA-32 departed from Norwood Regional Airport in Norwood, Mass., and was headed towards Montgomery County Airpark in Gaithersburg, the FAA mentioned.

The airplane landed safely round 11 a.m. in Teterboro after the pilot reported smoke within the cockpit, authorities mentioned. 

The FAA is conducting the investigation.
