Healey, Smith will debate on May 4 – New Jersey Globe

Bob Healey and Ian Smith, candidates for the Republican nomination for the U.S. Home of Representatives in New Jersey’s third district, will face off in a debate at 8 PM on Wednesday, Might 4 sponsored by the New Jersey Globe and Save Jersey, a Republican web site.

David Wildstein, the editor of the New Jersey Globe will average the controversy, together with Matt Rooney, the editor of Save Jersey, a Republican information web site.

The winner of the Republican main will face two-term Rep. Andy Kim within the normal election.

A 3rd candidate, Nicholas Ferrara, was invited to take part within the debate if he met benchmark standards established by the New Jersey Globe and Save Jersey.  He didn’t meet the standards and he didn’t reply to the invitation.

The district contains elements of Burlington, Monmouth and Mercer counties.
