Crews battle wildfire in Wharton State Forest

WASHINGTON TWP., New Jersey (WPVI) — Crews are working to include a wildfire in Wharton State Forest Sunday afternoon.

Officers say the hearth has burned 700 acres and 0% contained.

The flames are approaching the Batsto Village space.

The Mullica River Campground, Mullica River Path and boat launches alongside the Mullica River are closed from the Atsion Recreation Space to Batsto Village. These closures will stay in impact till additional discover. Pinelands Adventures has additionally suspended kayak and canoe journeys for the day.
