Black Heritage Trail highlighting historic, culturally significant places opens in New Jersey

TRENTON, N.J. (CBS) — New Jersey is highlighting Black historical past all through the state. The Black Heritage Path now identifies historic and culturally important locations.

“Celebrating and commemorating Black historical past just isn’t one thing that we must always relegate to solely the month of February or to Juneteenth,” Gov. Phil Murphy stated. “Black historical past is New Jersey historical past. It have to be honored on daily basis of the 12 months.”

The governor signed laws making the path official.
